Just a little bit more about myself …

As both a professional designer and an educator, those two parts of my identity are inseparably intertwined. I’m assistant professor of art & design at Ouachita Baptist University, where I teach a variety of classes in the BA/BFA in graphic design program, and I also run Zimny Media as a freelance graphic design studio from my home office. The skills and passions I bring from each field inform the other for the benefit of my students and clients alike.

I had the opportunity to study at Ouachita as an international student for my undergraduate degree in graphic design and mass communications. It’s throughout that time that I developed my passion for visual communication. I went on to earn an MA degree in graphic design and an MFA degree in graphic design and visual experience from Savannah College of Art and Design. I love drawing on my varied experience and education to create appealing, practical solutions for my clients’ design needs to help them meet their business goals.
